2018 | 40' | documentary | color
In May 1945, the young British officer Manfred Gans drives through his old homeland Germany with a new identity - an adventurous journey hoping to find his parents still alive in the concentration camp. About 70 years later, the Gans family now living in the USA and Israel come back to Germany. They are looking for clues. The film follows the journey of the past as well as today and tells of the alienation and rapprochement between the family and their hometown Borken.
